The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined household income does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 check here and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and nsfas application surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
